James Madison University's, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority would like to invite you to join us for our 14th Annual Paul’s Walk 5k, in support of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease). For the past nine years we have remained passionate in supporting the fight against ALS. Through donations and support of family members, friends, and the JMU community, we have raised over $50,000. We are asking again for your continued generosity towards this cause. If you are unfamiliar with ALS, it is a disease that damages the motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord that controls muscle movement. There is no cure for this devastating disease, and this is why every year we work towards raising money to help find one. This event that is very close to our hearts was founded in honor of Paul Massey, father to Peter (JMU, Pi Kappa Phi ’05) who lost his life after a five-year battle with the disease.

The growth of this event have been incredible since we first started. We went from raising $400, to $6,000 to $11,584 last year! Every year is better than the last and we hope to reach our new goal of $11,800!

(Every dollar counts in a fight to end a horrible disease)
